About Us

Ann Matteson is the founder of The High Potential Group, a company that helps individuals and organizations build capacity and high performance through the development of high potentials and leaders. Ann has over 20 years of experience in the development and coaching of leaders through individual and organizational change. She has designed and facilitated leadership development programs for senior executives on topics including leading through change, personal effectiveness, and building effective teams.

Before starting her consulting firm, Ann worked at The Energy Project for more than a year, as an organizational consultant, program facilitator and executive coach.  Prior to The Energy Project, Ann was employed at Fidelity Investments for 13 years, where she led leadership development for a large division of Fidelity.  Previously, Ann worked for Fleet Bank and Bank of New England, where she was responsible for management and organizational development. 

Ann holds a Master’s Degree in International Management from Thunderbird, with a concentration in cross-cultural communications and a BA in Political Science from Colorado State University. She has served as an adjunct faculty member at Suffolk University’s MBA program and has presented at the Conference Board and at the New England Human Resource Association (NEHRA) annual conference.

Ann lives outside of Boston, with her husband Josh, an entrepreneur, and her two children.  She and her husband are avid sailors who race competitively.
